Polytrauma Management Beyond ATLS
Dear colleagues and readers,
Welcome to the official website of the Cooperative course for Polytrauma Management.
The organizers feel that the widespread implementation of the ATLS algorithm has tremendously improved the acute treatment of severely injured patients. Following the initial resuscitation phase, controversies and ongoing changes have occurred that are worth reviewing.
This is an interdisciplinary course and we intend to unite the knowledge of general surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopaedic trauma surgeons, intensive care and emergency physicians. Moreover, this course covers the whole clinical course of a polytraumatized patient (from preclinics, trauma bay, ICU, ward toward rehabilitation).
This Polytrauma Course is certified by DioCert® for quality management and organization. Our experienced lecturer introduce recent concepts and new research results. During our case sessions important aspects in treatment can be discussed in groups. Our Polytrauma App provides a quick and compact overview of surgical knowledge helpful for management of severely injured patients.
We hope that you will enrich these courses with your participation and infatigable intention to improve trauma care.
